Welcome to PastaDI 🍝

We’re Azzurra and José, the people behind PastaDI. What started as a simple dream quickly became a mission: bringing the first Italian pastificio to Madeira. Together, we wanted to create not just great pasta — but something that truly matters.

That’s how PastaDI was born: a social and artisanal project dedicated to making authentic Italian handmade pasta, crafted locally using traditional methods, the finest Italian flours, and deep respect for people and ingredients.

Every tagliatella, raviolo, and fusillo we make tells two stories: one of Italian culinary tradition, and one of inclusion. Because great pasta is even better when it’s made with purpose.

At the heart of PastaDI is a strong social mission. We create meaningful job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, offering training, professional guidance, and the dignity of real work. The result is exceptional handmade pasta — filled with pride, care, and heart.

Right now, PastaDI is coming to life. Our machines are being crafted in Italy, our flour is ready to ship, and our space in Funchal is taking shape. We’re working toward opening our doors soon. 

Alongside fresh pasta and sauces, we’ll host hands-on workshops, inviting locals and visitors to roll up their sleeves and experience the joy of true Italian pasta-making with a twist.
